Adrian Lewis has withdrawn from the European Darts Open in Leverkusen this weekend for health reasons.
The world number four pulled out of the Austrian Darts Open last weekend, citing health reasons for his withdrawal, and he has now withdrawn from this weekend’s European Tour event for the same reason.
Lewis will be replaced in the draw by a fifth Host Nation Qualifier.
The two-time world champion has entered the Players Championship double-header in Barnsley the following weekend (July 8-9), but he could decide to withdraw from that too to ensure he is at full fitness for the BetVictor World Matchplay, which starts on July 22.
