Adrian Lewis has pulled out of the Austrian Darts Open in Vienna this weekend due to health reasons.
The two-time world champion was set to make his fourth appearance on the PDC’s European Tour this weekend, having come through the UK Qualifiers in Milton Keynes last month.
Lewis defeated Ireland’s Mick McGowan (6-4) and South Africa number one Devon Petersen (6-5) to qualify for his fourth European Tour event of 2017.
However, on the eve of the tournament, it has been revealed that Lewis has withdrawn for health reasons, and his place in the field will be replaced by a fifth Host Nation Qualifier.
The Host Nation Qualifier takes place in Schwechat this evening, and will now offer five places for Austrian players to compete in the European Tour event this weekend.
