BDO ladies world number one Deta Hedman is looking forward to playing in the final day of the World Trophy today.
Hedman takes on three-time world champion Anastasia Dobromyslova in the second semi-final this afternoon, with the winner then set to play either Aileen de Graaf or Anca Zijlstra in the final later on.
Hedman was a runner-up to Lisa Ashton in the final last year and is bidding to win her maiden World Trophy title and her first BDO major since taking home the World Masters crown in 2013.
After coming from 2-0 down to beat Rachel Brooks 4-2 in the quarter-finals yesterday, the top seed is relishing the chance to return to The Memo Arts Centre stage in Wales today.
“I always look forward to being on the stage,” Hedman said.
“Rachel did let me in on a few (of the legs). That was hard work, I could not focus.
“I just couldn’t concentrate and when she let me in there I just thought ‘well if you don’t take this I think I’m just going to have to deliver’.”
