Gary Anderson is bidding to become the third player to secure a place in the Betway Premier League play-offs in Sheffield tonight.

The two-time Premier League champion, who has qualified for the play-offs in each of the last three seasons, faces James Wade at The Sheffield Arena this evening.

Anderson sits in third place on 16 points heading in tonight’s fixtures, and knows he can join Michael van Gerwen and Peter Wright at The O2 on May 18 when he takes on Wade.

The Scot defeated Raymond van Barneveld 7-4 in Birmingham last week, and is on a high after winning Players Championship 10 in Wigan on Sunday.

“I’m playing okay and I’m happy with where I am in the table but obviously I want to win on Thursday and make sure I get in the play-offs,” Anderson said.

“It’s tight in the table and every point’s crucial. I’m looking forward to the last couple of weeks because James is still fighting and he’ll be up for it, but so will I.”
