Peter Wright faces a huge night in his Betway Premier League season as he takes on both Michael van Gerwen and Gary Anderson at the Echo Arena in Liverpool tonight.

The world number three has enjoyed a memorable 2017 so far, winning his first televised title at the UK Open, as well as four other tournaments on the PDC circuit.

The Scot is currently sat in second place in the Premier League table and will come up against the world’s top two ranked players in Liverpool this evening, as he goes up against league leader van Gerwen and two-time world champion Anderson.

“It’s a big night for me,” Wright said. “Every point is vital and you can’t relax.

“I’m playing pretty well and I’ve been putting so much work in this year and we’re all pushing forward.

“Everyone starts playing well now because the play-offs are in sight.”

In his three previous Premier League campaigns, Wright has never finished in the top four to qualify for the end of season play-offs. A decent points haul in Liverpool tonight will help him take a big step towards The O2 for the first time.
