Larry Butler claimed his second Syracuse Open title at the weekend after beating Darin Young 4-0 in the final.
The former World Matchplay champion won his first ranking title of the year with a whitewash victory over his PDC World Cup of Darts teammate Young in the decider.
Butler kicked off the final by checking out 73 for a 14-darter, before a 78 finish saw him break the Young throw in the next leg to take a 2-0 lead.
Young then missed the bull for a 121 checkout to break back in the third leg, with Butler returning to finish off 32 with his last dart to go 3-0 up.
More missed doubles from Young were punished again in the next leg, as Butler fired in a brilliant 148 checkout to complete a 4-0 win in the final.
Canada’s Maria Mason won the ladies title at the Syracuse Open after seeing off Bette Cunningham 4-1 in the final.
After the opening two legs were shared, Mason reeled off three straight legs to wrap up a 4-1 win.
