The evening session should be something very special with Mighty Mike who will face Darryl Gurney and Raymond van Barneveld will look to knock off Phil Taylor in the final game of the evening.
With the first semi final confirmed in the afternoon session will see the other semi final for Sunday’s action.
Darryl Gurney will have the battle of his young career as he takes on the world number one Michael van Gerwen.
Gurney was the last man to beat van Gerwen back at a European Tour last 16 in mid October and is a BIG 18/1 to beat MVG as short as 33/1 ON.
Gurney looked in all sorts of trouble versus Webster unable to land the big double on numerous occasions and a slip like this will see him easily beaten by the Green Machine.
The Gurney 180 market is set between 6.5 and 7.5 and Sportingbet are the best value on the under markets.
Some may opt for the MVG 5-0 scoreline at 15/8 and with the -3.5 set line at just 8/15 is too short to consider backing.
Barney will face Taylor in a head to head that Phil dominates 56-16 with the Power winning four of the last six meetings.
They met in the semi final two years ago, where Phil won 6-2 and layers are 6/10 on Phil winning this with Barney at 13/8. A year or so ago the pricing would not be as close.
One market that has appealed in the past is player for first 180. Barney has hit the opening maximum in all three of his matches, with Phil opening his account in two.
Barney is 10/11 with Taylor at even money and this is the true price and Taylor will certainly throw first if he wins the bull and expect the even money price to land.
Today’s recommendations
